MEDIUM Compact Storage Hot Water Heater 1-Phase SHC 15

Made in Germany, the 15 litre Stiebel Eltron SHC 15 AU under bench mains pressure water heaters deliver hot water quickly to kitchen sinks and taps.

FAQ

  1. What else do I need to complete the installation? Generally all that's required is a power supply and a drain point for the Pressure/Temperature Relief Valve... apart from this, nothing, we send out a kit that can be installed immediately. Please note that to comply with regulations some installation types may require additional valves (see above in Kit Contents).
  2. What is the warranty on the water heater? Stiebel Eltron provides a 5-year domestic warranty, and a 1-year commercial warranty on the SHC 10 & 15 units.
  3. Does the SHC need a tempering valve to limit the hot water to 50 degrees Celsius? If used at Kitchen and Laundry sinks, then no, the SHC hot water system does not require a tempering valve. The unit delivers hot water at 60 degrees Celsius. This unit is not suitable for hygienic areas (such as bathrooms) where the water must be limited to not exceed 50 degrees Celsius.
  4. What's the difference between the different SHC water heater models? The only difference is in the storage tank capacity, otherwise they both work the same.
  5. Can I install the SHC water heaters with my existing sink mixer? Yes, the SHC water heaters are mains pressure storage water heaters and can be used with all WELS rated tap-ware including low flow taps.
  6. Can I connect two taps to the SHC mains pressure water heater? Yes, the SHC water heaters are designed as a multipoint of use water heater and can be operated with multiple taps.
  7. Do these water heaters create hot water that is hot enough to make tea and coffee? No, the SHC is designed to provide hot and cold water to a sink. These units are not a boiling or chilled system.
  8. What happens after I order the unit and pay? We will be in contact with you to confirm the order, delivery address and timeframe, and any other questions you may have.
  9. How long until I receive my order, and is there a delivery fee? Within Australian state/territory capital cities delivery is free (excluding Darwin), and your order will usually arrive within 3 business days. For orders outside of capital cities, we offer a flat-rate fee of $200 for delivery.
