The SNE 5 is equipped with an electronic control unit and ensures convenient and efficient water heating.
The water temperature can be adjusted precisely from 35°C - 85°C on the user interface LCD.
A power saving ECO function can be enabled at the press of a button.
A hygiene circuit for pasteurisation is also integrated.
Three adjustable and programmable weekly timers (home, office, individual).
Display of the actual temperature, operating time and heating time.
The anti-drip function prevents expansion water dripping during heat-up of the cylinder, thereby saving water and reducing limescale build-up on the taps and sink.
The energy saving thermostop function prevents unwanted heating of the mixer tap.
Freely adjustable minimum and maximum temperatures (anti-scalding protection).
Automatic frost protection.
Display of the enabled ECO function and heat-up indicator.
Internal plastic cylinder made from polypropylene with high grade EPS thermal insulation for the lowest possible energy losses.
PROFI-RAPID installation system ensures quick and straightforward installation for licensed plumbers. Simple wall mounting with universal mounting rail included as standard. Installation template included in the standard delivery. Protection rating IP 24 D (splashproof).
Robust copper tubular heater with low surface load for a long service life.
Resettable high limit safety cut-out for safe commissioning.
Electronic temperature limit for anti-scalding protection can be set to the exact degree required.
The SNE is a non-pressurised appliance for use with non-pressurised open vented taps only, and intended for Undersink installation.

- What else do I need to complete the installation? Generally all that's required is a power supply ... apart from this, nothing, we send out a kit that can be installed immediately. Please note that to comply with regulations some installation types may require additional valves (see above in Kit Contents).
- What is the warranty on the water heater? Stiebel Eltron provides a 5-year domestic warranty, and a 1-year commercial warranty on the SNE-5 unit.
- Can I install the SNE water heater with my existing sink mixer? No, the SNE water heater is open vented and requires a specialised open vented sink mixer.
- Does this water heater create hot water that is hot enough to make tea and coffee? No, the SNE is designed to provide hot and cold water to a sink. This unit is not a boiling or chilled system.
- If I run out of hot water how long will it take for the SNE hot water available? The SNE recovers at approximately 1 litre a minute.
- Can I connect two taps to the SNE open vented water heater? No, the SNE water heater is designed as a single point of use water heater and can only be operated with one open vented sink mixer.
- What happens after I order the unit and pay? We will be in contact with you to confirm the order, delivery address and timeframe, and any other questions you may have.
- How long until I receive my order, and is there a delivery fee? Within Australian state/territory capital cities delivery is free (excluding Darwin), and your order will usually arrive within 3 business days. For orders outside of capital cities, we offer a flat-rate fee of $200 for delivery.
