How the selector works
How do you decide the size?
By the number of people, as a general guide: 200 to 220 litres for 2 to 4 people, 300 litres for 4 to 6. If you tell us lots of hot water matters most, we go up a size.
What counts as a cold climate?
Regular hard frosts: Canberra, Tasmania, alpine areas, Ballarat and the cold inland. There we only recommend models with active defrost whose heat pump keeps running down to -10°C.
Can I trust a recommendation from a seller?
The rules are on this page and the reasons come with every answer. If the cheapest model fits, the tool says so.
