Installer brief

What your plumber and electrician need to know

Send this to your installer before you order and ask for a fixed price. If anything here doesn't suit your house, you find out before you spend.

  • Supplied without a plug: it has three bare wires (active, neutral and earth). A licensed electrician connects it to a 10 A circuit.
  • Bathrooms must get hot water at no more than 50°C, so the plumber fits a tempering valve.
  • An isolation valve and an expansion control valve may be needed, depending on your water pressure and local rules.
  • It produces condensate water while it runs: plan where it drains.
  • Outdoors it needs 500 mm clear either side of the air grille. Indoors it needs a room of at least 13 cubic metres, which cools a few degrees while it runs.

From the manufacturer's installation documents. Installation must follow them and the rules in your state.
